Rishabh Pant played an excellent cameo against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He smashed an unbeaten 32 off just 10 deliveries to take Lucknow Super Giants to a formidable 209/3 in the allotted 19 overs in Lucknow. He smashed four fours and a couple of sixes in his 10-ball innings.

With this innings, Pant has achieved what even the great MS Dhoni has not. Pant became the first wicketkeeper-captain to end his innings with a strike rate in excess of 300 in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Highest strike rate for a wicketkeeper-captain in IPL (Min: 10 balls faced)
320 Rishabh Pant (LSG) vs RCB, Lucknow, 2026
281.25 MS Dhoni (CSK) vs PWI, Pune, 2013
275 Adam Gilchrist (DCH) vs PBKS, Cuttack, 2010
257.57 Jitesh Sharma (RCB) vs LSG, Lucknow, 2025
255 MS Dhoni (CSK) vs MI, Bengaluru, 2012
Neither LSG nor Pant have not had a memorable season so far. LSG have lost six games in a row and find themselves at the points table.
However, they have given themselves a great chance to get the two points against RCB, after putting up 209 on the board, setting their opposition a target of 213 in 19 overs (DLS). Mitchell Marsh was the star of the show, slamming 111 off just 56, thereby becoming just the fourth Australian to score multiple IPL centuries.
