There is something to cheer for as far as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are concerned, as Mitchell Marsh has smacked a superb century against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Marsh got to his second Indian Premier League (IPL) century off just 45 deliveries – the fastest for LSG in the tournament. This is also his fifth century in T20 cricket.

With this century, March becomes only the fourth Australian to register multiple IPL centuries.
Australian batters with multiple IPL centuries
4 David Warner
4 Shane Watson
2 Adam Gilchrist
2 Mitchell Marsh
It’s interesting to note that Mitchell’s brother, Shaun, too has an IPL century, which he scored in the inaugural season in 2008 for Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab)
Marsh’s ton has given LSG the advantage in the contest, and are in a good position to get a big total on the board. Despite a couple of rain interruptions, Marsh has not slowed down. He put on 95 off 56 for the first wicket with Arshin Kulkarni, and now, with Nicholas Pooran, the partnership has touched 50 off just 28 deliveries.
LSG are in desperate need of a win, having lost their last six matches in the competition. As a result, they find themselves at the bottom of the table.
