In the 27th match of IPL 2026 on Saturday, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Chennai Super Kings by 10 runs in a thrilling contest. Chasing a target of 195 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Chennai could only manage to score 184 runs. Chennai required 18 runs for victory in the final over but failed to achieve the target.
Chennai Super Kings, setting out to chase the target of 195 runs, did not get off to a good start. Sanju Samson failed to make a significant impact with the bat and was dismissed after scoring 7 runs off 3 balls. Following this, for the second wicket, Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad forged a crucial 51-run partnership with Ayush Mhatre. Ruturaj was dismissed after scoring 19 runs off 13 balls. Delhi Capitals won by 6 wickets against RCB
The 26th league match of the 19th season of the Indian Premier League was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals at the M. Gerald Coetzee to replace injured David Payne
Gerald Coetzee has been named as a replacement for David Paine, who has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament due to a serious ankle injury. Sunrisers Hyderabad have signed Coetzee at a base price of ₹2 crore (approximately $20 million). The South African bowler is renowned for his speed and aggression in international cricket. He has the ability to dismantle any batting order. Coetzee has played four Tests, 14 ODIs, and 18 T20 Internationals for South Africa. He has a total of 67 wickets at the international level.
