Most runs conceded by Starc in an IPL spell
2/57 vs PBKS, Dharamsala, 2026
1/55 vs RCB, Kolkata, 2024,
0/53 vs SRH, Kolkata, 2024
0/50 vs RR, Kolkata, 2024
0/49 vs GT, Ahmedabad, 2025
Starc conceded 22 runs in his first over, but then redeemed himself to a certain extent when he picked up two wickets off consecutive deliveries in his final over. But then, conceded two sixes and a four in his final four deliveries to finish with an economy rate of 14.20.
In fact, he has conceded more runs only once in T20 cricket when he finished with 0/60 in the T20 World Cup 2021 final against New Zealand in 2021 in Dubai. The pacer missed the initial stages of IPL 2026 to manage his workload after sustaining elbow and shoulder injuries during the Australian summer.
He has picked up just five wickets in his four matches this season, conceding at 10.53 an over. The 36-year-old was bought for INR 11.75 crore at the IPL 2025 auction, after playing a pivotal role in Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) title-winning campaign in 2024.
DC are struggling this season, having picked up just one win in their last six matches. As a result, they find themselves eighth on the points table, with eight points from 11 matches. A loss tonight will see them out of contention for a place in the playoffs.
