Vaibhav Sooryavanshi created history with his debut against England at Emirates Old Trafford on Saturday. At the age of 15 years and 99 days, Vaibhav became the youngest Indian to debut in international cricket. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has reached the second position in the list of youngest male players to debut for Full Member countries.
Women cricketer Shafali Verma made her international debut at the age of 15 years and 139 days. Meanwhile, among Indian men, Sachin Tendulkar (16 years and 205 days, Test cricket) has slipped to the second position as Vaibhav has broken the records of both these players. A few days after his Test debut, Tendulkar made his ODI debut at the age of 16 years and 238 days.
The list of youngest players to debut for a Full Member nation is topped by Pakistan’s Hasan Raza, who played his first match against Zimbabwe in Faisalabad at the age of 14 years and 227 days. Raza’s career spanned 7 Tests and 16 ODIs. Vaibhav is second on this list, while Bangladesh’s Mohammad Sharif (15 years and 116 days) is third. Sharif achieved this feat against Zimbabwe at Harare in 2001.

Vaibhav played an innings of 14 runs
Vaibhav could not score any run on the first two balls of his international career. After this, Suryavanshi opened his account with a single and hit a six on the fourth ball. Vaibhav hit a six on the very first ball (2.1 over) against Archer. Vaibhav also started the over with a six on the first ball of the fourth over against Josh Tongue. But in the 4.5 over, while trying to play a forward shot against Will Jacks, he was stumped by Jos Buttler. In his debut match, Vaibhav faced 10 balls, in which he scored a total of 14 runs with 2 sixes.
