Cameron Green is having a superb day on the field. First, he returned to form smashing 79 off 55 – his maiden fifty in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Later on, he also took a stunning catch to get rid of the in-form Shubman Gill running in from the boundary at backward point.
The catch
Bowling from around the wicket, Vaibhav Arora slanted the ball across Gill, who sliced the ball in the air towards deep backward point. Green, who was stationed at the boundary, ran in, dove forward and took the catch with the ball just inches away from the ground. Gill was eventually dismissed for 86 off 50 deliveries, putting his team in a commanding position against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

This was Gill’s third half-century on the bounce for Gujarat Titans (GT) this season. He scored 70 and 56 against Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), respectively. He started the season with 39 against Punjab Kings (PBKS).
After losing their first two matches, GT have bounced back well, winning three matches on the bounce. Their latest was a five-wicket victory over KKR in Ahmedabad on April 17 (Friday).
