Rahul Dravid announced as owner of Dublin Guardians in ETPL

Former India captain and T20 World Cup-winning coach Rahul Dravid has been announced as the owner of Dublin Guardians, one of the six European T20 Premier League (ETPL) sides. The league, co-owner by Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan is set to be launched in August in partnership with Cricket Ireland, Cricket Scotland, and the Royal Dutch Cricket Association. It is Europe’s first ICC-sanctioned multi-country franchise T20 league, featuring teams from Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.

“What attracted me to ETPL was the larger vision behind it, the opportunity to help grow cricket in Europe by strengthening grassroots development and creating pathways for emerging talent across Ireland and Europe,” Dravid said in a statement. “Dublin already has a passionate cricketing community and enormous potential for growth. Nurturing the next generation has always been important to me, and I believe ETPL can play a meaningful role in that journey.”

Scotland announce squad for ICC T20 Women’s T20 World Cup

Scotland announced their squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England. Kathryn Bryce will lead the side in the tournament for a second successive time. Scotland made their way into the T20 World Cup 2026 through the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier where they finished second in Group B and made it into the Super Six.

England pacer called up as cover in ongoing series against New Zealand Women

Pacer Alexa Stonehouse has been called up in the England squad for the ongoing ICC Women’s Championship ODI series against New Zealand.  She has been included as a cover following the in place of following the injury setbacks to two of their fast bowlers, Em Arlott and Issy Wong. England currently lead the three-match ODI series after winning the first one by just one wicket.

Stonehouse has earned the call following her brilliance in the ongoing domestic One-Day Cup where she claimed eight wickets at 25.12 in five appearances. Reportedly, she will be joining the England squad in Northampton for training on Tuesday. Her international debut could be in line in either of the remaining two ODIs, at Wantage Road on Wednesday and Cardiff on Saturday.
