IPL 2026: Records shatter as KKR outclass SRH in a dominant 7 wickets win

IPL 2026: Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets. Kolkata achieved a hat-trick of victories in IPL 2026, the same team that failed to win a single match in the previous six matches. Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s 59-run innings contributed significantly to Kolkata’s victory. Captain Ajinkya Rahane also missed out on a half-century. Earlier, Sunil Narine made history by reaching 200 wickets in the IPL.

In this match played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, Hyderabad batted first and scored 165 runs. After a strong start, SRH’s batting collapsed, losing their last nine wickets for just 60 runs. In response, an 84-run partnership between Rahane and Raghuvanshi played a crucial role in Kolkata’s victory.

Raghuvanshi scores his fifth IPL half-century

Angkrish Raghuvanshi faced 47 balls and scored 59 runs. He hit 5 fours and 2 sixes. His strike rate was 125.53. This KKR player completed his half-century after facing 39 balls. This was the fifth half-century of his IPL career. Raghuvanshi scored his third half-century in this edition. So far, he has played 31 matches and has been successful in scoring 730 runs in 27 innings at an average of 31.73.

Narine first foreign bowler to take 200 IPL wickets

KKR veteran Sunil Narine completed his 200 IPL wickets. He became the first foreign bowler to take 200 wickets in cricket’s biggest league. Besides Narine, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (215) and Yuzvendra Chahal (228) have taken 200 or more wickets in the league. Narine bowled 4 overs and took 2 wickets for 31 runs. His economy rate was 7.30.

Head’s third half-century against KKR

Travis Head faced 28 balls and scored 61 runs. He hit 9 fours and 3 sixes. His strike rate was 217.86. This was his 10th half-century of his career, which he completed in 22 balls. This was his third fifty against KKR. This is Head’s second half-century this season. So far, the Aussie has played 48 matches and scored 1,469 runs at an average of 34.16 and a strike rate of 170.41.
