Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) won the toss and decided to bat first and handed over the ball to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) scored 255 runs in 20 overs after losing 5 wickets and set a target of 256 runs for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to win.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) explosive opener Abhishek Sharma reached his half-century in just 20 balls during the IPL 2026 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Friday. Batting at a strike rate of 254.55, Abhishek Sharma scored 56 runs in 22 balls, including five sixes and four fours. With this innings, Abhishek Sharma created a remarkable record. He also equaled a formidable record held by Chris Gayle, T20 cricket’s most ruthless batsman.
Abhishek Sharma hit five sixes during the IPL 2026 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Friday, becoming the first batsman from India and the second batsman in the world to hit 40 or more sixes in more than one T20 series or tournament. CSK faces punishment after being eliminated from IPL
Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) IPL 2026 campaign ended on a disappointing note. The Shubman Gill-led team defeated the Gujarat Titans by 89 runs on Thursday (May 21) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This officially eliminated CSK from playoff contention.
Following the defeat, the IPL Governing Council announced heavy punishment for the entire CSK team. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was fined ₹2.4 million for failing to maintain a slow over-rate. As this was their second offense of the season, the entire team, including the impact players, were reprimanded and fined.
