Sri Lanka women defeated Pakistan by six wickets

The Sri Lankan women’s cricket team defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in the first T20 match and took a 1-0 lead in the series. In this match, Imesha Dulani displayed excellent performance, scoring an unbeaten 101 runs and leading her team to victory. With this century, she became the second Sri Lankan woman batsman to score a century in T20 International matches.

In this clash, the Pakistan women’s team came out to bat first. Pakistan’s captain Muneeba Ali and Shawal Zulfiqar gave Pakistan a great start. The two added 66 runs for the first wicket. Muneeba was then out after scoring 42 runs in 24 balls with the help of nine fours. Zulfiqar, along with her, played an innings of 63 runs in 41 balls with the help of 10 fours and one six. Apart from these two, however, no other Pakistani batsman could do much, due to which the Pakistani team could only score 176 runs for seven wickets. Kavisha Dilhari took two wickets for Sri Lanka.

Chasing a target of 177, Sri Lankan women’s team opener Imisha Dulani displayed a superb batting display. Dulani smashed an unbeaten 101 off 64 balls, studded with 17 fours and a six. This made her the second batsman in Sri Lankan women’s cricket history to score a T20I century. Chamari Atapattu also scored 39 runs, helping Sri Lanka easily reach 177 for four in 19 overs at home, defeating Pakistan by six wickets and taking a 1-0 lead in the series. The second T20I of the series will be played on Sunday, August 2nd.

Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Ben Stokes in English One-Day Cup

Kuldeep Yadav is making waves in England. On Friday, he took two wickets in the One Day Cup match against Durham. This is the fourth consecutive match in the tournament in which Kuldeep has taken two wickets. The match between Durham and Yorkshire was played on July 31st at Clifton Park Ground.

Namibia won by 6 wickets against the Netherlands

Pakistan’s Shan Masood ruled out of upcoming Test match against West Indies

Pakistan’s former captain Shan Masood, who sustained a finger injury during the last match, has been ruled out due to injury against West Indies in the upcoming Test match. Masood smashed 109 runs in the first innings, though he was dismissed for 3 runs in the second. The second Test match between the two teams is scheduled to begin on August 2.

According to the ICC, the PCB stated: “Pakistan Test batsman Shan Masood has been ruled out of the second Test against the West Indies after sustaining an injury to the index finger of his left hand during the first Test at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad. Following scans and clinical assessments, Shan is currently being treated by the Pakistan team’s medical panel.”
