BAN vs ZIM: Riding on superb bowling from Mahedi Hasan and Rishad Hossain, Bangladesh defeated Zimbabwe by 34 runs in the second T20 International played at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Friday. With this, the visiting team leveled the three-match series 1-1. Bangladesh got off to a good start after being invited to bat first, with Tamim and Hasan putting on 120 runs for the first wicket in 14.4 overs.
Tamim made 58 runs off 44 balls and Hasan made 55 runs off 45 balls. The innings then faltered, losing five wickets in the next 21 runs. Mohammad Saifuddin’s unbeaten 31 off 10 balls and Yasir Ali’s unbeaten 22 off 12 balls helped Bangladesh reach 186 for five in their allotted 20 overs.

For Zimbabwe, Richard Ngarava and Brad Evans took 2 wickets each and captain Sikandar Raza took 1 wicket. Chasing the target, Zimbabwe had a bad start and lost the first three wickets for a total score of just 21 runs. After this, no big partnership could be made for the host team.
Ryan Burl scored 29 runs in 19 balls and captain Sikandar Raza scored 28 runs in 12 balls. Apart from this, Brad Evans, who came at number nine, contributed 25 runs in 14 balls and Zimbabwe team was all out for 152 runs in 19.4 overs. For Bangladesh, Mahedi Hasan and Rishad Hussain took 3-3 wickets, Nahid Rana, Mohammad Saifuddin and Saif Hasan took 1-1 wicket.
