BCCI announces India vs Nepal T20I series schedule
The Indian team will tour Nepal in December this year. On Friday, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) issued a statement stating that India A will tour Nepal in December for a three-match T20 series. CAN has also released the schedule for the upcoming series, which will be played from December 9th to December 13th.
The decision on the bilateral series was made following a meeting between Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) President Chatur Bahadur Chand, CAN Secretary Paras Khadka, and BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia. Three T20 matches will be played between the two teams, hosted by the TU International Cricket Ground at Tribhuvan University in Kirtipur.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a nostalgic moment with former Australia captain Steve Waugh during a visit to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Friday, presenting him with a photograph from their first meeting more than two decades ago when Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. The event marked the final engagement of Modi’s three-day visit to Australia before he departed for New Zealand. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan and former Australia women’s cricketer Lisa Sthalekar were also present.
The old photograph sparked a warm interaction between Modi and Waugh and highlighted the long-standing sporting ties between India and Australia. During the visit, Modi and Albanese launched the India-Australia Sports Collaboration Roadmap to strengthen cooperation in athlete development, coaching, sports science, sports technology and sports infrastructure.

As his body arrived in Afghanistan, his teammates at the airport, including Rashid Khan and several other Afghan cricketers, became emotional.
Chennai will host Renegades vs Scorchers in historic BBL opener
The Melbourne Renegades will face the defending champions Perth Scorchers in Chennai on December 12th . This will mark the start of the 2026-27 BBL season with the tournament’s first overseas match. Cricket Australia (CA) hopes this could pave the way for hosting IPL matches in the future, provided the BCCI decides to move a match overseas.
The match is scheduled to begin at 2:40 PM local time (2:40 PM IST), which translates to 8:10 PM Australian Standard Time (AEST) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, the home ground of the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. It is scheduled to begin immediately after the fourth day’s play of the first Test against New Zealand in Perth. However, this timing would risk a clash if the Test match is still in progress. It will be considered a home game for the Renegades.
