Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was provoked, Match referee announce punishment
The atmosphere in the ongoing Tri-Nation A Series in Sri Lanka is heated. During the match played in Dambulla on Monday, June 15th, a heated exchange of words took place on the field between India A and Sri Lanka A players. Things escalated when, after the Super Over victory, some Sri Lankan players taunted Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Suryansh Shedge, who was standing next to him. Now, match referee Pradeep Jayaprakash announced the punishments for the players involved in the altercation. It is believed that Vishen Halambage received the harshest punishment because he was constantly provoking Vaibhav Suryavanshi. According to the report, Sri Lanka Cricket has issued a warning to the players involved and instructed them to avoid such incidents in the future. The board believes that young players should respect the spirit of the game and control their behavior on the field.

Spin all-rounder Manav Suthar, who made his Test debut for India against Afghanistan on June 6, has now stolen the show with his impressive performance in England. Pakistan penalised for slow over-rate against India
Pakistan lost their opening match of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup against India. The Group A match was played at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Sunday. The Pakistani team failed to complete their scheduled overs in the match. Consequently, the ICC has fined the Pakistani women’s cricket team. Pakistan has been fined five percent of its match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate against India. The time allowance was taken into account, and even then, the Pakistani bowlers were able to bowl one over less. Trudy Anderson of the ICC International Panel of Match Referees imposed the fine.

Speaking on the matter, Sairaj Bahutule urged people not to jump to conclusions without knowing the full story. “It was an unfortunate incident, but we don’t know how it started. As far as I know Vaibhav, he’s a very calm guy.” He further added that Suryavanshi is still learning, has a huge responsibility representing India, and is unlikely to repeat such an incident in the future.

There’s nothing above that.” He added, “While I was sleeping, my friend woke me up and told me about my selection. Then I found out I’d been selected for the ODI team as well, so that feeling was truly unique.”

Indian cricket legend and former captain Sourav Ganguly filed an official police complaint, alleging that a Facebook page is continuously spreading defamatory and misleading information about him. Ganguly has demanded immediate legal action in this matter. In his complaint, Sourav Ganguly mentions a Facebook page called “Sourav Ganguly Fans.” This page identifies itself as an “unofficial fan page” and has over 3.6 million followers. Ganguly says that this page is being used to spread false information. This could impact his personal life.
Ollie Robinson ruled out of the second Test against New Zealand
England has suffered a major setback ahead of the second Test against New Zealand. English fast bowler Ollie Robinson has been ruled out of the second Test due to a right knee injury. Robinson returned to the Test team for this series after two years. He had a stellar performance at Lord’s in the first Test, taking seven wickets and playing a key role in England’s victory.
