It was yet another high-scoring game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 as Rajasthan Royals (RR) got over the line against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Mullanpur on April 28 (Tuesday). They chased down 223, winning the match by six wickets with four deliveries to spare.

PBKS have not just suffered their first loss of the season, but this is the third-highest target anyone has chased down against them in the IPL.

For RR, Yashasvi Jaiswal (51) and Donovan Ferreira (52*) were the pick of the batters for RR in their chase, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also chipped in with a quick-fire 43.
Earlier, a superb unbeaten 62 off 22 by Marcus Stoinis propelled PBKS to 222/4 after being asked to bat first.
With this win, RR move to third on the IPL 2026 points table with 12 points. However, despite this loss, PBKS remain at the top of the table with 13 points.
RR will hope to keep the momentum going when they take on Delhi Capitals (DC) next on May 1 (Friday). PBKS, on the other hand, take on Gujarat Titans (GT) on May 3 (Sunday).
