In their final group stage match of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Australia clinically dismantled Oman by 9 wickets. However, the result didn’t matter as Australia were already out of the tournament. Adam Zampa was the star for Australia with a brilliant bowling spell of 4/21 as Oman were bowled out for just 104. During the chase, Mitchell Marsh scored 64 off 33 balls* to reach the target under 10 overs.
SA squad for T20I series in New Zealand announced
South Africa’s squad for the T20I series in New Zealand has been announced. Keshav Maharaj will lead the 15-member squad for a T20I series in New Zealand beginning on March 15. The five-match series will end on March 25. Some players who are part of the T20 World Cup squad have been given a break with the IPL expected to begin on March 26.

Michael Vaughn wants ECB to act as Pakistan players might face The Hundred snub
Former England captain Michael Vaughan shared his concern over The Hundred franchises planning to overlook Pakistan players in this year’s league. As per a BBC report, “A senior official from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) indicated to an agent that interest in his Pakistan players would be limited to sides not linked to the IPL.”
With franchises linked to the Indian Premier League unlikely to pick them at next month’s auction for The Hundred, Vaughn took to X to opine on the same, “The ECB need to act fast on this .. they own the league and this should not be allowed to happen .. the most inclusive sport in the country is not one that allows this to happen ..”.
2026 Bangladesh central contracts released; Taskin demoted
Taskin Ahmed and Mushfiqur Rahim have been demoted by the Bangladesh Cricket Board to lower grades in their 2026 central contracts for the national men’s cricketers. Taskin was the only player in the A-plus category in 2025. Now he has joined the Test, ODI and T20I captains Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Litton Das, respectively, in category A. However, the reason behind his demotion is unclear.
