Shree Charani claims top spot in T20I bowling rankings
21-year-old Indian spinner Shree Charani has reached the No. 1 spot in the Women’s T20 International Bowling Rankings. The Indian spinner has overtaken England’s Linsey Smith to reach the top spot.
Shree Charani has benefited from her impressive performance in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. She is currently the tournament’s leading wicket-taker, with 10 wickets in three matches. Deepti Sharma, who took six wickets in the tournament, is in eighth place.
Indian vice-captain Smriti Mandhana remains in the top five in the batting rankings. She scored half-centuries against Pakistan and the Netherlands in this World Cup. Shefali Verma is in sixth place, while captain Harmanpreet Kaur is in 10th place.
Rohit Sharma receives Padma Shri from President Draupadi Murmu
Former Indian cricket captain and legendary batsman Rohit Sharma has received the Padma Shri award. He was honored by Indian President Draupadi Murmu. Sikandar Raza to miss Zimbabwe’s Test against Bangladesh
Zimbabwe Cricket has announced a 15-member squad for the one-off Test match against Bangladesh, scheduled to begin on June 28 at the Harare Sports Club. Fast bowler Richard Ngarava will be seen leading the Zimbabwe team in Test cricket for the first time during this match. In that match, Zimbabwe secured a win by an innings and 73 runs, driven by a magnificent century from Ben Curran and lethal bowling from Brad Evans.
