M. Chinnaswamy Stadium likely to lose IPL 2026 final
There is uncertainty surrounding the venue for the IPL 2026 final. The final is usually held at the home ground of the defending champion. But due to the political controversy in Bengaluru, the Chinnaswamy Stadium seems unlikely.
A BCCI source told news agency ANI, “According to the rules, the previous winner should host the final, but the MLA ticket issue in Bengaluru is creating problems. If this is not resolved, the BCCI may shift the final to another city.”
The final match of the current season of the IPL is scheduled to be played on May 31st. However, the team venues have not yet been announced. The playoff matches may be split between Punjab and Karnataka.
