IND vs WI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Team India for the home ODI series against the West Indies. Nine star Indian players were unavailable for this series. Consequently, several surprising names have been selected. For the first time, the BCCI has included Naman Dheer and Auqib Nabi Dar in the ODI squad.

KL Rahul has been named vice-captain of the Indian team for the ODI series against the West Indies, as Shreyas Iyer is unavailable for the series. He will be busy with the 2026 Asian Games, where he captains the Indian team.

It’s worth noting that the West Indies team will tour India this month to play a three-match ODI series and five T20Is. The ODI series begins on September 27th. The first ODI will be played in Thiruvananthapuram on September 27th, the second in Guwahati on September 30th, and the third and final ODI will be played on October 3rd at the Mullanpur Stadium in New Chandigarh.

Four fast bowlers have been selected for the ODI series against the West Indies, including Prasidh Krishna, Gurnur Brar, Mohammed Siraj, and Auqib Nabi Dar. Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja are the two spinners. Dhruv Jurel has been selected as the reserve wicketkeeper. Nitish Kumar Reddy, who was part of the T20 squad for the Asian Games, has also been included in Team India for the ODI series against the West Indies.
