ENG vs PAK: England has strengthened its grip on the Lord’s Test (ENG vs PAK) against Pakistan by the end of the third day. Play had to be halted early due to rain. By the time play was stopped, England reached 177/7 in their second innings, extending their overall lead to 357 runs with three wickets still in hand. On the fourth day, both players will aim to score as many runs as possible quickly to put pressure on Pakistan. Rain caused several interruptions throughout the day; not a single ball could be bowled during the first session. When play resumed in the afternoon, England continued their innings from a score of 81 for 3, holding an overall lead of 261 runs. They added another 81 runs in approximately 23 overs but lost three wickets in the process.

Mohammad Abbas took 3 wickets for Pakistan

Mohammad Abbas was Pakistan’s most successful bowler; he trapped Emilio Gay LBW for 31. Subsequently, Harry Brook was caught behind the wicket after scoring 34. Brook and Dan Lawrence had shared a 45-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Abbas claimed his third wicket by dismissing Jamie Smith for seven.

England scored 290 runs in their first innings, while Pakistan was bowled out for just 110 in reply, helping England a massive first-innings lead of 180 runs. England had previously defeated Pakistan by an innings in the first Test at Headingley to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series (ENG vs PAK); Pakistan now faces the challenge of saving the series.
