The Dunes T20 League is set to be played in Saudi Arabia in October this year, marking a significant step for cricket in the country. Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh signs on as the league’s ambassador.
South Asian Network Limited (SLN) on May 14 (Thursday) announced a strategic partnership with Unique Sports Group and Prolithic Talent Agency, the sports management and investment company that is mentored by Yuvraj – a key figure in India’s World Cup success in 2007 and 2011.
This announcement follows SAN being awarded the right to host Saudi’s first-ever professional T20 cricket league by Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation in October 2025. The inaugural edition will have as many as six teams participating in it.
What did Yuvraj say?
“Really looking forward to joining the Dunes T20 League as League Ambassador at such an exciting time for cricket in Saudi Arabia. This league has the vision and ambition to grow the game in a new market, create opportunities for local emerging players, and bring fans a truly authentic cricket experience. What makes it even more exciting is the opportunity to see legends of the international game come together alongside rising talent to inspire the next generation. I’m looking forward to helping build something special that can leave a lasting impact on cricket in the region,” Yuvraj said.
However, teams, venues, broadcast partners and other details have not been announced and will be revealed in the coming days.
