India A’s scores 257/5 on Day 1 against Australia A
The first unofficial Test match between India A and Australia A is being played in Puducherry. India has scored 257 runs for the loss of 5 wickets at the end of the first day’s play. Tanush Kotian is batting on 68 and Shams Mulani is batting on 10. Earlier, Kumar Kushagra retired hurt after scoring 82 runs. Sai Sudharsan made 57 runs. According to the report, the rigging occurred in the seventh match of the third season of the Delhi Premier League, DPL 2026. This match was played between the Central Delhi Kings and North Delhi Strikers at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
In this sting operation, former cricketer Rachit Bhatia made a shocking claim about the Chennai Super Kings. Bhatia revealed that he had provided inside information about CSK to bookmakers. He claimed to have done so for five matches in IPL 2025, receiving ₹60 lakh per match. He also admitted to earning ₹3 crore (approximately $30 million) in the operation. However, these claims were made in undercover conversations.
ILT20 auction will be on October 1 in Dubai
The player auction for the fifth season of the ILT20 will take place in Dubai on October 1. The tournament’s six franchises are preparing to finalize their squads for the 2026 season, which is scheduled to run from November 21 to December 20. Following the pre-auction signings held in August, teams will enter the auction with a budget of $1.3 million. Additionally, any unspent funds from the $700,000 allocation for direct signings and retentions will be added to this amount. Each team is required to spend between $1.5 million and $2 million on its entire squad.
Franchises must assemble a squad of 18 to 23 players. In doing so, they must adhere to strict nationality-based regulations designed to strengthen both ‘Full Member’ and ‘Associate’ cricket. Each team must include at least 11 players from ICC ‘Full Member’ nations, including a minimum of four Afghan players and one Irish player. Teams are also required to include four UAE players, one player each from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and at least one additional player from another ICC Associate nation.
Colin Ingram bids farewell to professional cricket
England fast bowler Mark Wood has bid farewell to international cricket. Alongside him, South Africa’s Colin Ingram has also announced his retirement; the 41-year-old will no longer play professional cricket. Ingram made his debut for South Africa in 2010 and played his last match in 2013. He enjoyed a highly successful career in both franchise and county cricket.
Ingram played his final match in county cricket for Glamorgan. Taking to social media, Colin Ingram wrote, “The day has finally arrived for me to announce my retirement from professional cricket.
