Team India fast bowler Harshit Rana and spinner Varun Chakravarthy are injured, and due to their injuries, both players have been ruled out of upcoming Indian team tours. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced replacements for both bowlers.

Harshit Rana was part of the three-match ODI series against England but reported sudden discomfort in his right hamstring during the third T20 match played at Trent Bridge. Scans revealed a Grade 1 hamstring injury, leading to his exclusion from the ODI series against England. Rana will report to the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) for further assessment and management. Right-arm fast bowler Prince Yadav has been named as Rana’s replacement for the England ODI series.

Meanwhile, right-arm spinner Varun Chakravarthy also reported sudden discomfort in his left hamstring during the third T20 against England; an MRI scan revealed a Grade 2 hamstring injury. On medical advice, he has been ruled out of the T20 series against Zimbabwe. Varun will now report to the BCCI CoE. Right-arm spinner Ravi Bishnoi has been included in the squad in place of Varun Chakravarthy for the three-match T20 series against Zimbabwe.
