IND vs ENG: England beat India by four wickets in the 2nd T20I, take lead in the series

IND vs ENG: England defeated India by four wickets in the second T20I (IND vs ENG). Jacob Bethell’s explosive batting proved unstoppable, and he single-handedly led England to victory with a blistering half-century. India scored 190 runs in the first innings in Manchester, but England won the match in the final over.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his international debut in this match, scoring just 14 runs off 10 balls before being dismissed. However, he made his debut at the age of 15 years and 99 days, making him the youngest Indian cricketer to debut. Ishan Kishan’s slow innings of 49 runs was also a reason why India failed to cross the 200-run mark.

Jacob Bethel’s batting stole the show

Jacob Bethell came into bat in the very first over of the innings, after Arshdeep Singh had dismissed Jos Buttler and Phil Salt in the very first over. Bethell was at one stage on 37 off 33 balls, but he scored 39 runs in the last 13 balls of his innings. Bethell scored 76 runs off 46 balls, hitting 5 fours and 5 sixes.

England needed 49 runs from the last five overs, and India had a chance to make a comeback. But then, in the 16th over of the innings, Ravi Bishnoi conceded 29 runs, including two no-balls. Bishnoi bowled nine balls to complete the over, hitting three sixes and a four.
