IND vs AFG: On Sunday, India declared their first innings at 564/8 in the only Test against Afghanistan. Afghanistan are 113 for 5 at stumps on the second day in New Chandigarh on Sunday. Rahmat Shah remained unbeaten on 43. India lead by 451 runs on the basis of the first innings. Debutant Manav Suthar took three wickets for India. He dismissed Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Abdul Malik, and Afsar Zazai. Prasidh Krishna took the wickets of captain Hashmatullah Shahidi and Sediqullah Atal.
Left-arm spinner Manav Suthar, making his debut in the Chandigarh Test, took a wicket in his very first over. With this, Manav Suthar became the eighth Indian player to take a wicket in his first over on Test debut. This feat has been achieved by an Indian in 25 years. The previous highest wicket-taker was Tinu Yohannan, who took a wicket in his first over of his Test debut against England in 2001.

Suthar takes three wickets, Gill and Rahul scored centuries
Captain Shubman Gill top-scored with 126 runs for India. Opener KL Rahul scored 100 runs. Rishabh Pant and Sai Sudharshan scored 81 runs each. Washington Sundar remained unbeaten on 52 and Kuldeep Yadav on 9. Debutant Manav Suthar scored 28, Yashasvi Jaiswal 24, and Dhruv Jurel 19. Mohammed Siraj scored 22 runs off 12 balls. Mohammad Salim Safi took six wickets for Afghanistan. Ziaur Rahman and Hashmatullah Shahidi each took one wicket.
Team India resumed play on the second day at 368/3. Gill made 103 and Pant 50 to anchor the innings. The two added 169 runs for the fourth wicket. Gill added 23 runs and Pant 31. It’s the second day of the India-Afghanistan Test match at the New Chandigarh Stadium. Most fans gathered to watch local boy Shubman Gill. However, Gill, who started at 103, was dismissed for 126 after scoring just 23 runs. This caused disappointment among the fans.
