It was a superb bowling performance from Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who bundled out Delhi Capitals (DC) for just 75. Josh Hazlewood (4/12) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3/5) shared seven wickets between them and left DC tottering at 13/6 at the end of the powerplay – the lowest in the first six overs in Indian Premier League (IPL) history.
However, Suyash Sharma picked up 1/7 in his four overs, and in doing so, he bowled 20 dot balls, which are the joint-most by a bowler in an IPL innings. Moreover, no spinner has bowled more dots in an IPL innings.

Suyash picked up the wicket of Kuldeep Yadav and also squeezed in the only maiden of the innings. Suyash was bought at the IPL 2025 auction for INR 2.60 crore, and picked up eight wickets in his first season, helping RCB to their maiden title. In this season, he has six scalps so far at an economy rate of 7.84.
RC are currently second on the IPL 2026 points table with 10 points from seven matches before this, level with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). A win tonight will ensure they have more points than those teams.
