Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) fast bowler Praful Hinge wreaked havoc in the IPL 2026 match against Rajasthan Royals (RR). SRH set a target of 217 runs for RR. Coming in to bowl the first over, Praful Hinge dismantled Rajasthan’s innings by taking three wickets in the opening over. Praful made his IPL debut in the previous match against Punjab Kings, but did not get a chance to bowl in that match. The fast bowler dismissed Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel, and Luan Dre Pretorius in his first over.
Here are some facts about Praful Hinge:
- Praful is a right-arm fast bowler. He was recruited by Sunrisers Hyderabad at a base price of ₹30 lakh (approximately $1.5 million). He was sitting in a temple when he was auctioned in the IPL.
- The pace bowler plays domestic cricket for Vidarbha. The 24-year-old pacer made his senior debut in the 2024-25 season. He has taken 27 wickets in 10 first-class matches at an average of 26.66.
- Praful initially wanted to become a batter. But later, he became a bowler and has been training at the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai since 2022.
- A major turning point in Prafull’s career arrived at the age of 19, when he captured everyone’s attention by taking 36 wickets during the Under-19 trials.
- Praful also has five wickets in six List A matches. Before IPL 2026, he played one T20 match and took one wicket.
