ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026

In a match played yesterday, February 19, 2026, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Afghanistan finished their 2026 T20 World Cup campaign on a high, defeating Canada by 82 runs. Ibrahim Zadran was in sublime touch. He scored an unbeaten 95 off 56 balls and set the record for the highest score by an Afghan batter in a Men’s T20 World Cup.

In a thrilling encounter yesterday in Colombo, Zimbabwe defeated co-hosts Sri Lanka by 6 wickets, sealing their spot at the top of Group B. Pathum Nissanka continued his good form, smashing 62 off 41 balls. However, during the chase, Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza smashing 20 runs off Dushan Hemantha in the 15th over after a good foundation. His blistering 45 off 26 balls was behind their successful clinical chase.

West Indies beat Italy by 42 runs to finish the group stage with a perfect 4-0 record.  Shai Hope led from the front with a captain’s knock of 75, guiding the Windies to 165/6. In response, Italy struggled against the pace of Shamar Joseph (4/30) and folded for 123.

Karnataka enter Ranji Final after 11 years

Despite a massive target set by Karnataka, Uttarakhand managed to draw the match as they finished at 260/6 in their second innings. However, following the first-innings lead, Karnataka entered the Ranji Trophy final after 11 years. R Smaran solidified his case with two centuries to his name as KL Rahul added 86 runs to his name in the second innings after century in the first innings.

Karnataka will meet Jammu & Kashmir for the Ranji Trophy final starting from February 24.

New Zealand Women squad for Zimbabwe series announced

Amelia Kerr is ready for her first assignment as the New Zealand captain. New Zealand will be touring Zimbabwe to play three T20Is from February 25 and then play the ODIs starting on March 5. All T20Is will be played in Hamilton whereas the ODIs will be played in Dunedin.

KSCA allots the Ranji final to Hubballi

Karnataka Cricket Association allotted the Ranji Trophy final to Hubballi instead of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Despite securing all necessary state government clearances, it is understood that to ensure the high-quality match viewing experience and spectator convenience the Ranji Final has been allotted to Hubballi.
