T20 World Cup 2026: The 26th match of the current edition of the T20 World Cup had the United States facing Namibia at the M. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The US batted first and put up a solid 200 runs on the board. Namibia gave it a shot but only reached 168 runs in their 20 overs, so the US took the win by 31 runs and that victory also fetched them full points.

The match in Chennai started with the US team winning the toss and choosing to bat. Their openers got off to a solid start, putting together 68 runs before Shyam Jahangir went out for 22. Captain Monank Patel played a quick and lively knock, hitting 52 from just 30 balls. Sanjay Krishnamurthy stuck around and finished unbeaten on 68, while Milind Kumar chipped in with 28. After 20 overs, the USA posted a strong total—199 runs for 4 wickets and Namibia needed 200 to win this clash.

Namibia gave it a shot, but they never really caught up. Lauren Steenkamp led the charge with a fighting 58 off 39 balls. JJ Smit added 31, Jane Nicol made 28, Jane Frylink scored 19, and Jane Green finished with 18, but the rest couldn’t keep the chase alive. In the end, Namibia closed out their 20 overs at 168 for 6. USA took the win by 31 runs.
