Virat Kohli, who came in after Rohit’s dismissal, partnered with Shubman Gill to add 151 runs for the second wicket. Roston Chase dismissed Shubman Gill, but not before Gill had completed his century; he scored 110 runs off 108 balls, including 13 fours and 1 six.

‘Chase Master’ Virat Kohli was in a league of his own. He brought up both his half-century and century with sixes and also hit a six to take the team to the winning target. Kohli scored 139 runs off 88 balls, smashing 9 sixes and 10 fours.
During this innings, Kohli completed 15,000 ODI runs, becoming the second batsman in the world after Sachin to achieve this feat. He became the first batsman to score 10 ODI centuries against the West Indies. He also became the batsman with the most ODI runs in a single country, breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record in the process.
Justin Greaves’ maiden ODI century
Batting first, the West Indies openers had made a good start. John Campbell and Justin Greaves shared a 135-run partnership for the opening wicket. Campbell scored 62 runs off 60 balls, hitting three sixes and six fours. Greaves scored 101 runs off 108 balls, his maiden ODI century, including 12 fours. Both openers were dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav.
Keacy Carty (13) and captain Shai Hope (12) failed to build on their starts and were dismissed early. Towards the end, Amir Jangoo struck a crucial half-century, helping the team’s score approach the 300-run mark. He remained unbeaten on 58 off 43 balls, hitting one six and seven fours.
For India, Kuldeep Yadav was the top wicket-taker, claiming 4 wickets for 40 runs in his 10 overs. Prasidh Krishna took 2 wickets for 62 runs in his 10 overs. Gurnoor Brar and Ravindra Jadeja conceded 60 and 54 runs respectively in their 10-over spells but failed to take any wickets. Nitish Kumar Reddy took 1 wicket for 45 runs in 5 overs. Naman Dhir conceded 33 runs in 5 overs but remained wicketless.
