IND W vs PAK W: India produced another dominant performance at the Women’s Asia Cup 2026, dismantling Pakistan for their lowest-ever T20I total before completing a seven-wicket victory with 68 balls to spare in Match 9 (IND W vs PAK W) of Group A at the Dubai International Stadium on Saturday.
Put in to bat, Pakistan never managed to build any momentum and were bowled out for just 55 in 18.1 overs. After reaching 27/1, Pakistan suffered a spectacular collapse, losing six wickets for just eight runs to slump to 35/6. Shawaal Zulfiqar top-scored with 14, while Muneeba Ali and Tuba Hassan offered brief resistance.
Shree Charani and Prema Rawat claim three wickets apiece
India’s spin attack was chiefly responsible for the rout. Shree Charani returned superb figures of 3/7, while Prema Rawat claimed 3/9. Deepti Sharma added two wickets and Shafali Verma picked up one as India’s bowlers repeatedly exploited the slow Dubai surface. Pakistan’s 55 was their lowest-ever total in T20 internationals.
Chasing 56, India lost Shafali Verma for 12 and Smriti Mandhana for 9, with Pratika Rawal also falling after making 4. Pakistan briefly threatened a twist, but Harmanpreet Kaur’s 18 off 18 balls and Deepti Sharma’s unbeaten 12 off 14 steadied the chase. India reached 57/3 in 8.4 overs, sealing a seven-wicket victory.
The win was India’s third straight victory in the tournament and further underlined their superiority in Group A. Having already secured a semifinal berth, Harmanpreet’s side now head into the knockout phase with an imposing combination of explosive batting and a highly effective spin attack. India had earlier beaten Thailand by 94 runs and Hong Kong by 137 runs.
