The Indian cricket team has suffered a major setback before the start of the Test series against Sri Lanka. Star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the entire Test series. According to reports, he continues to suffer discomfort in his left knee, which is why the medical team has decided to rest him. Bumrah’s absence could be considered a major loss for Team India. The first match against Sri Lanka is scheduled to begin on August 15th. The second Test will then begin on the 23rd.
Jasprit Bumrah is not fit
When the Test squad for the Sri Lanka Test series was announced, the BCCI stated that Jasprit Bumrah’s participation would be determined by his fitness. A few days ago, news emerged that he was fully fit, but recent media reports suggest otherwise. Bumrah is still experiencing problems with his left knee. Following initial testing at the Center of Excellence, he has been advised rest. Consequently, the BCCI is reluctant to rush the fast bowler into the field.
