Vaibhav Sooryavanshi breaks record of most sixes hit by an Indian batter in IPL
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi keeps breaking records, even though his IPL career is still pretty young. It’s kind of wild that he’s hit more sixes than fours overall, which says a lot about his style. Now, in IPL 2026, he’s set another milestone. He owns the record for the most sixes by any Indian batsman in a single season.
Earlier, Abhishek Sharma held that honor, smashing 42 sixes in IPL 2024. But Sooryavanshi has gone one better—he’s already hit 43 sixes this season and isn’t done yet. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (43) leads the chart for most sixes in the IPL 2026 season.
