It was yet another day in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 where a target of over 220 was chased with utmost ease. Delhi Capitals (DC) rode on superb fifties from KL Rahul (75) and Pathum Nissanka (62)and their 110-run opening stand to record their highest successful run chase in IPL history.

Just six days ago, Rajasthan Royals (RR) suffered the unfortunate fate of suffering the highest chase in IPL against them. Today (May 1), DC recorded the second-highest run-chase against them.

After a superb platform set by Rahul and Nissanka, Nitish Rana continued the momentum with a 17-ball 33 to take DC closer. In the end, Tristan Stubbs (18*) and Ashutosh Sharma (25*) took the team home with an unbeaten 49-run stand off just 23 deliveries. In the end, DC won by seven wickets with five balls to spare.
With this win, DC have snapped their three-match losing streak and are currently in sixth place with eight points. However, RR remain in fourth place with 12 points from 10 games.
