Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings by 6 wickets

In the 40th match of IPL 2026, two powerful teams clashed and table topper Punjab Kings faced Rajasthan Royals. Suryakumar Yadav is just nine runs away from passing Kieron Pollard to become Mumbai Indians’ second-highest run-scorer ever. He can pull this off when MI faces Sunrisers Hyderabad at Wankhede on Wednesday. Right now, Suryakumar has 3,907 runs in 121 matches (119 innings) for MI. He averages 37.56 and scores at a brisk strike rate of 151.14, with two centuries and 29 fifties to his name.

Pollard sits just ahead with 3,915 runs, but took 211 matches and 193 innings to get there, averaging 28.78 with a strike rate of 147.01 and 18 fifties. Above them all is Rohit Sharma—he’s miles ahead. Rohit has scored 6,289 runs in 240 matches (236 innings), with an average of 29.93, a strike rate of 132.72, and has notched up two centuries and 41 fifties for MI.
