Rohit Sharma 7,183
Shikhar Dhawan 6,769
David Warner 6,565
KL Rahul 5,580
He needed just 11 runs coming into this match and he achieved that with a single off Axar Patel in the last ball of the powerplay. Kohli has played for RCB throughout his career. He also holds the record for the most runs in a single season – scoring 973 runs in 2016, leading his side to the final.
Other key stats
Recently, he also became the third player to hit 300 sixes and the only player to hit over 800 fours in the tournament. He also holds the record for the most centuries (8) in the IPL and his 74 50-plus scores are also the most by any batter.
Kohli also has the most T20 runs for an Indian batter with 13,894 runs to his name, which includes 108 fifties and nine centuries. Only five other batters have scored more runs than him in the format.
At the international level, the star batter has retired from T20Is and Tests, but remains active in ODIs.
He finished the match against DC with back-to-back sixes, successfully chasing down 76 in just 6.3 overs with nine wickets to spare, doing their net run-rate a world of good. This is also the second fastest successful run-chase in the IPL (non-rain-curtailed games).
Why take it deep when you can just finish it in 6.3 overs? ⏩💥
