Abhishek Sharma has had a mixed few months. He did not have a particularly good T20 World Cup by his high standards, and in the first game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), he was dismissed for just seven. However, he came good in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) second game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, where he smashed 48 off just 21 deliveries.
He played second fiddle to Travis Head initially, but the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) could not keep him quiet for long as he launched a destructive attack on the bowlers. He smashed four fours and as many sixes in his 21-ball innings. IN doing so, he becomes only the second SRH batter after David Warner to score 100 sixes for the franchise.

Moreover, Head also became the fifth SRH batter to smash 50 sixes for the team. He scored 46 of 21, which included six fours and three sixes.
SRH go into this match against KKR after suffering a massive defeat in the first game against RCB. They will hope to make the best of the start in this game and put up a massive total on the board.
Earlier, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and asked SRH to bat. All previous five games in IPL 2026 have been won by the team batting second.
