It was a memorable return in pink for Ravindra Jadeja as he picked up two wickets in an over on his Rajasthan Royals (RR) return against his former team, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), in Guwahati on March 30 (Monday). After playing for CSK for 12 seasons, Jadeja was traded back to RR ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 auction.
On his return to the RR side, Jadeja wasted little time as he first got rid of the dangerous Sarfaraz Khan off just his second delivery and four balls later, he sent Shivam Dube packing. While Sarfaraz was trapped in front, Dube looked to clear the man at long-off, but Ravi Bishnoi completed a simple catch there.

Jadeja was part of the IPL-winning RR side in 2008 and has won three more titles with CSK over the years.
At 57/6 after eight overs, things are not looking good for CSK, who now have to pin all their hopes on debutant Kartik Sharma and the tail. At the time of writing this, CSK were tottering at 62/6 at the halfway stage.
Earlier, RR skipper Riyan Parag won the toss and opted to bowl first, given that the pitch was under covers for the last two days and with the threat of rain looming large.
