KKR is getting ready for IPL 2026, but travel headaches from the Gulf crisis are messing with their plans. A bunch of key players and staff are trickling in, but not all at once. Thanks to these disruptions, the team now has to scramble and rethink their logistics. But so far they’re handling it nimbly.
Sunil Narine, arguably one of their biggest all-rounder, is stuck waiting for a UK transit visa. That’s holding up his trip to India. Andre Russell and Rovman Powell, both from the Caribbean will also land later than everyone hoped. March 24 is the tentative date for them.

There is some good news, though. KKR’s New Zealand trio, Rachin Ravindra, Finn Allen, and Glenn Phillips are expected in India on March 19. That should give the squad a lift right on time. Cameron Green from Australia will join up the next day on March 20.
Dwayne Bravo, one of the franchise’s veteran support staff, managed to arrive early. He had to take the long way around via Europe. That pretty much sums up how complicated travel is right now.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has been proactive from the start by enforcing strict travel protocols, including mandatory team transport and tighter regulations on player movement. It keeps things safe and disciplined. It also highlights on how tough things have gotten, thanks to all these geopolitical tensions.

In the next few days, KKR needs to get everyone together and settle in. Despite the delays and complicated routes, the franchise is optimistic. They just want to minimize hiccups and start building some momentum before the IPL ramps up.
